It’s a new summer festivity at Disney California Adventure! Welcome to Part II of my World of Color viewing experience. (Read Part I: Wonderful World of Color too!)
After getting to the park SUPER early and waiting in line FOREVER for a World of Color Fastpass, I had approximately a million hours to kill before the show. Normally when I’m on my own in the parks I tend to not wait for anything more than 15-20 minutes, but I decided to bite the bullet since I knew I was going to be there all day anyway and headed to Paradise Pier (where most of the construction walls have finally been taken down).
First stop was Toy Story Mania, which I hadn’t done in a while due to the typical insanely long lines. Not only has it been recently updated to include Toy Story 3 characters, but the wait was only about 40 minutes!
Look! I’m one of the gang! 😉
Next up: Silly Symphony Swings (newly opened!) I really love the short it’s based on, The Band Concert (1935).
Then I headed to the Hollywood Blvd area to go try my hand at The Magic of Animation (3 times…) and discovered the new decorating scheme that is Glow Fest:
It’s kind of…um, extra colorful? in the daytime. But it was surprisingly crowded and fun, with decent dance music (I think I heard some DJ Pogo Toyz Noize) when I stopped by on my way out of the park after World of Color:
So that, plus lots of Beverage Stations (of the alcoholic glo-tini nature) is Glow Fest at DCA. World of Color video and Toy Story 3 thoughts coming soon!
