So, about a month ago now I went to Disney California Adventure for their Food and Wine Festival. Let me just say now that my delayed posting was in no way because the food was bad or something. Granted, there were far less options than the Epcot version of the festival, but that’s just because Epcot has many many countries to showcase while DCA has one little state.
They had a big section in the back corner of the Hollywood era devoted to the festival, with showrooms and food, as well as some locations near the front of the park.
Every Sunday during the Festival (which was a month long) they had a “Sweet Sunday” seminar about different desserts. Ghiradelli chocolate was there the day I went, and while I didn’t actually go to the seminar (they’re pricey) it sure looked and smelled good when I walked into the main show building.
The first I thing I did, naturally was get something to eat! And drink, of course. Not only did they have a fairly large California wine selection, but they had one of those new 200+ options Coke brand machines! Obviously that would have to be on the list as well.
It was definitely a fun morning activity, though Food & Wine out here isn’t as fully immersive as some of their other events, or of the same festival in Florida. Well, I mean the wine aspect is in full force throughout the park, but other than that it remains a pretty typical day at Disney California Adventure.
Not that that isn’t fun, mind you. Actually, just coming from nearly an entire day at DCA yesterday so that I could see World of Color (!!!) it’s finally getting busy enough to spend the majority of the day there. When you take at least 3 drawing classes at Magic of Animation, anyway.
In the absence of Glee, or much TV in general, the rest of this week be prepared for an onslaught of Disney posts from my day yesterday — including photos and video of World of Color!
